Questions & straight answers
The honest version. If your question isn't here, email us at hello@entrantready.comand we'll answer it straight.
Are you affiliated with the FMCSA or the government?+
No. EntrantReady is an independent compliance-readiness service — a small private company. We are not the FMCSA, not a government agency, and not a law firm. We just help you get and stay ready.
Will you cold-call me or put me on a list?+
Never. The pushy cold-calls new carriers get right after their authority is published? That is exactly what we built this to be the opposite of. Reach out when you want; we won’t hound you, and one contact doesn’t sign you up for anything.
What does it actually cost?+
It’s published — no "call for a quote." The readiness check, DVIR maker, and document scanner are free. Plans start at $49/truck/month for full compliance management. See the Pricing page for the exact breakdown.
Do I really need a drug & alcohol testing program?+
If you have CDL drivers, yes — federal law requires you to be in a random testing pool, and it’s the #1 thing new carriers get dinged for at their audit. We can set it up and coordinate it through a licensed partner, or you can handle it yourself. Either way we’ll tell you straight.
What is the New Entrant Safety Audit?+
A one-time check the FMCSA does on every brand-new carrier within your first 12 months. These days it’s mostly a document review — they ask for your paperwork and you upload it. Most carriers pass. The trap isn’t failing; it’s getting blindsided or missing the deadline. We make sure neither happens.
Isn’t filing the MCS-150 free? Why would I pay you?+
Filing it yourself at fmcsa.dot.gov is 100% free, and we’ll always tell you that. You’re not paying us to file free forms — you’re paying us to track every deadline, keep your audit folder ready, and handle the stuff that actually takes time, so you can drive.
Can you guarantee I’ll pass my audit?+
No honest company can guarantee that — your records are yours. What we can do is get you ready to the standard the audit looks for, so you walk in prepared instead of scrambling. That’s the whole point.
What if I just want the free tools?+
Then use them, free, with our blessing. The readiness check and DVIR maker are genuinely useful on their own. If you never pay us a dime, that’s okay — we’d rather be the company you trust than the one you avoid.
